Born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland, Steve Parker currently lives in Tokyo, Japan.
Having previously worked as a writer and level-designer on video games for various formats, Steve turned his hand to writing fiction in 2005, quickly placing work with American SF, fantasy and horror magazines.
In 2006, his short story, The Falls of Marakross, was published in Black Library's gritty science-fiction anthology Tales from the Dark Millennium, beginning a relationship with that publisher which would see Steve's debut novel, Rebel Winter, released internationally in the summer of 2007.

Two further short story commissions quickly followed (Mercy Run, The Citadel) before Steve began work on Gunheads, his second novel, which was released in March, 2009. It was soon followed by another short, Headhunted, published in July of that year.
Steve's third novel, Rynn's World, is currently scheduled for international release in early 2010, and a fourth, as yet unannounced, project has just recently been commissioned.
Steve is a member of both The International Association of Media Tie-in Writers (IAMTW) and The Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA). |
