Steve

Born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland, Steve Parker currently lives in Tokyo, Japan.

Having previously worked as a writer and level-designer on video games for various formats, Steve turned his hand to writing fiction in 2005, quickly placing work with American SF, fantasy and horror magazines.

In 2006, he was commissioned by Black Library Publishing (a division of Games Workshop Ltd.) to write a short story for their gritty science-fiction anthology Tales from the Dark Millennium. Immediately following this, he began work on his debut novel, Rebel Winter, which was released internationally in the summer of 2007.

Two further short story commissions quickly followed (Mercy Run, The Citadel) before Steve began work on Gunheads, his second novel, due for release in early 2009. With the final draft of Gunheads now complete, further short and novel-length stories are already underway.

Steve is member of both The International Association of Media Tie-in Writers (IAMTW) and The Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA).
